Yoshi went and spent some time with Alex’s dad to cover his Harley for Vibes. Feature came out killer, we just need to get it translated for him. Arturo is a good man with the heart and mind of a 20 year old. This guy rules!

The Copper Chopper Finished
When Paul Yaffe called and asked me to make the seat for the Copper Chopper I was pretty excited. Even though I was born in Florida I grew up in Arizona from the age of five on. I consider it my home state. The copper bike was built as a rolling tribute to the state as it celebrates its centennial. Five dollar lottery tickets will be sold while it’s on tour and one lucky person will win an incredible bike. You can get info on you to buy tickets here. You can see more pictures of the completed bike here. The detail put into it is amazing. Things like the seven hundred hand made stainless rivets with copper centers for example. I’m looking forward to seeing it in person. Click on the pictures to see them in full size. Thanks again Paul!

You never know what he is thinking
McGoo is the funniest guy I know and it was great to walk the Swap with him yesterday. We didn’t find anything that we were looking for but I can guarantee that Julie will never forget her first encounter with him.
Enjoying bananas will never be the same for this girl. Welcome to California Julie!

That’s how we roll………..
McGoo and I have been helping each other with our bikes for awhile now. He spent countless hours here when I was building The Pink Taco and now I am helping him with the SpartanKiller. Alex, McGoo and I woke up the neighborhood with the sweet sounds of the cutting wheel to fabricate the oil bag and battery box. Be sure to follow his thread on Chop Cult, as we will be welding them up soon. It is really nice to get away from the office once and awhile!

Coming soon
I was stoked to get the call that I would be making the seat for the Copper Chopper that is going to be a part of the Arizona Centennial anniversary. I grew up in Arizona and am proud to say that I still know and hang out with most of my high school friends. There are a lot of great memories here and I think Dad would be happy about this one.
Big thanks to Paul Yaffe for allowing me free range with the seat and design.

Big thanks to K Daddyz Kustoms
I dropped my tank off to Kyle Gann-aka K Daddy- a few weeks ago and was stoked to get the call that the tank was fixed. If you remember a while back I dropped the gas cover on the tank and chipped the paint. I really wanted to get it fixed but didn’t want anyone to mess up the Pradke paint job. I called Courtney-aka the guy that knows everybody- and he hooked me up with Kyle. So we went to Bakersfield and back twice but was it worth every mile, Kyle killed it! You can’t even tell where the chip began or ended.
I owe you big time! Thanks for the help. If you are in need of some custom paint work , give Kyle a shout@ 661-631-1797 and tell him I sent ya!

Funkenstein Surgery
Here is the break that started the rebuild of my white bike. Broke across two old tank mounting holes that had been brazed over in some previous life. My good friend Renato was a lifesaver when it came to fixing it. He’s one of those guys that can do anything. With something like a frame I wasn’t sure I wanted to go it alone.
The first thing I did was take the frame, oil tank, and fender to Pro Coat Powder coating in Lake Elsinore to get sand blasted.
Then it was off to Renato’s where we cut out the backbone.
Then on to turning down some steel for slugs.
Here is the front slug slid in to check the fit. Notice we ground out another tank mount hole on the top while we were at it.
Here is the backbone welded back into place. We drilled around the frame and into the slugs in a few spots and welded them up solid. Then welded the joints closed.
After smoothing everything out it was better than new.
While it was torn down we also changed the mounting of the oil tank slightly and welded on a bung for a screw on cap. No more drip from those crappy push in oil caps.
After the fix it was back to Pro Coat for the white powder coat. This time with a pearl silver clear topcoat on the frame, oil tank, and rear fender. Makes a BIG difference in how it looks. At least to me it does. Thanks again Renato!!
